Inspections and renovation work on runways 25L/07R and 01/19
As announced, Brussels Airport carried out a thorough inspection on runway 07R/25L on 6 June. After analysing the results of this inspection, it was decided to carry out additional works to ensure the runway's continued operability.
Runway use
For several weeks now, the wind has been blowing from the North-North/East, which means that runways 25L and 25R are not being used, but runways 07R/L and/or 01 are.

Every year, Brussels Airport has noise contours calculated by an independent recognised noise expert. The complete report on the noise contours for 2022 is now available.

From 16 August to 28 October 2022, the taxiways INN/OUT 7/8, F3 and Y will be undergoing a thorough renovation.
Application of an asphalt protective coating on runways 01/19 and 25L/07R from 7 to 16 June
From 7 to 16 June 2022 Brussels Airport will be applying an asphalt protective coating on runways 01/19 and 25L. The works are planned in such a way as to minimize the impact on the PRS as much as possible.

Every year Brussels Airport has its noise contours calculated by an independent body.
Renovation of runway 07L/25R at Brussels Airport completed this weekend
The renovation works on runway 07L/25R at Brussels Airport and the final tests will be completed on the 23rd of August at 6 am, at which time the runway will be taken into use again.
Renovation runway 07L/25R: preliminary works from 8 July until 13 July
The preliminary works will commence on 8 July at 3.30 pm and are scheduled to end on 13 July at 5 am, after which the actual renovation work on runway 07L/25R will start.

From 13 July to 23 August, Brussels Airport will be renovating runway 07L/25R under strict observance of COVID-19 measures.
